From NCAA tournament appearances to conference honors and coaching appointments, Duncan Hoops alumni continue to rise, proving our commitment to developing well-rounded players and future leaders in the game.

  • Tobey Bellows / Colby-Sawyer

    Bellows has committed to play basketball to the Colby-Sawyer Chargers. A graduate of Harwood High School, Bellows was a four-year varsity player, three-year starter, and two-year team captain. He led his high school in scoring and assists since his sophomore year and became the first 1,000-point scorer at Harwood since 2006. Tobey was honored as the Prep Hoops Vermont Division 2 Player of the Year, earned First Team All-Conference recognition, and was a multiple-time Player of the Week. Currently, Tobey is completing a post-graduate year at Kimball Union Academy.

  • Kelli Cieplicki

    Kelli Cieplicki / St. Michael's

    Cieplicki plays for the Saint Michael's College women's basketball team, joins with an impressive background from Rice Memorial High School, where she played four years of varsity basketball, served as a two-year captain, earned all-state honors, and twice made the Dream Dozen team. A National Honor Society member and a key player in Rice's state championship win her sophomore year, Kelli is majoring in accounting with a minor in business administration.

  • Joe Joe Dubrul / Randolph Macon

    DuBrul competes for the Randolph Macon men’s basketball team after two seasons with Norwich. Before college, he won the 2020 Vermont Division I Basketball Championship with Rice Memorial High School. DuBrul was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team at Norwich. Last season, he made a significant impact, starting 23 of 27 games, averaging 9.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and showcasing his skills with 15 double-digit scoring games, including a standout 20-point performance against VTSU Lyndon.

  • Christian Hathorn / VTSU Lyndon

    Hathorn, a standout 5'10" guard from Hartford High School in White River Junction, VT, joins the Vermont State University Lyndon men’s basketball team for the 2024-25 season. Known for his sharpshooting and leadership, Hathorn led Hartford to a top Division 2 state ranking and averaged 13.5 points, four assists, and two rebounds in 2023-24. A well-rounded student-athlete, he maintained a 3.5 GPA and as a three-sport athlete

  • Gracy Murphy / Kenyon

    Murphy, a junior guard for the Kenyon College Owls, has made her mark both on the court and in the classroom. Competing in all 26 games of the 2023-24 season, she contributed as a reliable playmaker with 2.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, 28 assists, and six steals. Grace’s strong academic performance earned her a spot on the 2024 NCAA Division III Academic All-District team, showcasing her dedication and excellence as a student-athlete.

  • Tucker Tharpe / RPI

    Tharpe, a 2024 RPI commit, has made a name for himself with the Champlain Valley Union High School basketball team. Known for his versatility as a 6’7” forward, Tharpe’s impact shines on both ends of the court. Named to the Burlington Free Press All-State First Team, he led CVU to a 17-3 record, excelling in scoring from the paint, mid-range, and beyond. Defensively, he’s a force, consistently altering shots and creating challenges for opponents.

  • Megan Thompson / Manhattan

    Thompson is joining the Manhattan College women’s basketball team for the 2025-26 season. A standout at Mount Mansfield Union High School, Thompson developed into a key player, averaging 15.5 points per game as a junior with a 42.5% three-point shooting percentage, earning Second Team All-Metro honors. Known for her leadership, basketball IQ, and strong academics—she made Honor Roll all four years—she plans to major in Early Childhood Education at Manhattan.

  • Paige Winter / Western New England

    Winter is now a junior for the Western New England Golden Bears. In the 2023-2024 season, she played in 24 games, averaging 3.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, with an impressive 88.9% free throw percentage. In her freshman season, Paige appeared in 22 games, contributing 62 points, 21 assists, and 24 rebounds. She previously played four years for Essex High School in Vermont.

  • Caelan Zeilenga / Franklin Pierce

    Zeilenga, a U-32 standout and Capital League Second Team honoree, continues his basketball journey at Franklin Pierce. Known for his skill on the court, Zeilenga's performance at U-32 earned him recognition among Vermont’s top athletes, showcasing his dedication and potential in the competitive Capital League.

  • Aaron Deloney / Etha Engomi Nicosia

    Deloney is a professional point guard and Duncan Hoops alum currently playing overseas for Etha Engomi Nicosia in Cyprus' Division A. A Portland, Oregon native, Deloney starred at UVM, where he played in a program-record 142 games. He was a two-time America East Sixth Man of the Year (2022, 2023), earned All-Conference Second Team honors (2024), and was named to the America East All-Championship Team in 2023. Aaron also competed with the Green Mountain Men, the Vermont alumni team, in the 2025 TBT Basketball Tournament.

  • Carley Hill / Vermont

    Hill is a Graduate Assistant with the University of Vermont Women’s Basketball Team and a former standout guard from Essex, Vermont. A Rice Memorial High School alum, she began her collegiate career at Le Moyne, helping the Dolphins win a Northeast-10 Regular Season title and earn an NCAA Tournament berth. Hill later transferred to SUNY-Potsdam, where she started all 25 games as a senior, averaging 7.2 points per game and ranking third in her conference in three-point shooting at 38%.

  • Justin Mazzulla

    Mazzulla is a former Duncan Hoops trainer who is now part of the Utah Jazz coaching staff as an Assistant Video Coordinator. He previously served in the same role with the Salt Lake City Stars, the Jazz’s G League affiliate, and briefly worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Rhode Island. A Johnston, R.I. native, Mazzulla played five collegiate seasons at George Washington and the University of Vermont, bringing high-level playing and coaching experience to every athlete he works with.

  • Ben Platt / USC

    Platt is a Graduate Assistant with the USC Men’s Basketball Team and a former Duncan Hoops trainer. With a strong background in player development, Platt has worked at every level of the game-from leading film and scouting operations as Head Student Manager at the University of Vermont, to coaching at Florida Atlantic University’s Dusty May Basketball Camp, to supporting national recruiting events like The College Basketball Academy.
